$1,000. It's simple. Pick your favorite TV moment of all time and recreate it in an artistic way! Draw,
photograph, film, sculpt, or paint it. Show us your creative side, pick any medium you want. Submit your
artwork with a brief description of why you chose that particular moment. The brief description is just to
give us some context, so make sure your art tells the story. Make sure that you submit your work in a form
we can view. If you are making a video: put it on YouTube, send us the link with the description, and upload
a screenshot for the photo portion. All media will be accepted and you don't have to be an artist to enter.

Jack Kent Cooke Foundation

Up to $30,000 awarded to over 100 students. Plan to graduate from a US high school in spring 2014.
Intend to enroll in an accredited four-year college beginning in fall 2014. Earn a cumulative unweighted GPA
of 3.5 or above. Receive standardized test scores in the top 15%: SAT combined critical reading and math
score of 1200 or above (must test by October 5, 2013) and/or ACT composite score of 26 or above (must
test by September 21, 2013). Demonstrate significant unmet financial need. We will consider applicants
with family income up to $95,000. However, we anticipate that a majority of scholarship recipients will be
eligible to receive a Pell grant.

2013 Women in Aviation Scholarships

WAI is proud to offer a diverse selection of scholarships again this year. Please be sure to read the

Scholarship awards are a major benefit of membership in Women in Aviation, International. In the past 24
years WAI has disbursed millions of dollars to its members to help them get ahead and advance into the
aviation and aerospace careers they have always dreamed about. There is an award for nearly everyone

*First Freedom Scholarship

The First Freedom Student Competition is a national essay and video contest offering high-school students
an opportunity to compete for $2,500 awards as they examine the First Amendment and the history and
implementation of religious freedom in American democracy and the world today. The upcoming school

BBG Communications

BBG provides the Youth Volunteer Scholarship Award to recognize and reward a student who demonstrates
a passion for volunteering, while maintaining a high level of academic achievement. Over the past 2 years a
student must have completed a minimum of 50 hours of volunteer work. Over the past 2 years a student
must have maintained a GPA of 3.5 or greater. A student must be under the age of 21 years of age on the day
of the deadline. A student must submit an essay on the topic prior to the deadline.

FIRE's Freedom in academia Essay Contest
Deadline: 1/1/2014
High school juniors and seniors for the 2013–2014 school year who are U.S. citizens or permanent residents
are eligible to participate in FIRE's essay contest. To enter, students must submit an essay between 800 and
1,000 words on the provided topic below. One $10,000 first prize, one $5,000 second prize, and three
$1,000 runner-up prizes will be awarded for the best essays. Four $500 winners will be chosen from the
remaining entrants in a drawing. FIRE will accept essay contest entries from August 1, 2013 to January 1,
2014. Winners will be announced January 31, 2014.
