Welcome Cistech Customers QM – Quality Management Agenda • Infor MES Overview • 3 applications join to form the MES Suite • Our focus: QM – Quality Management • QM Overview • System overview • Sneak peek at the next generation • Questions Infor MES Overview The Infor MES includes 4 primary areas of functionality: MDCC • Time & Attendance/Job Tracking • Production Reporting QM • Quality data collection LEAP • Electronic Kanban data collection QM Overview QM provides these values: • Incoming and WIP inspections to control your product and manufacturing processes • Consolidate all your quality data in one database • Electronic control plans provide one place to manage all your inspection criteria • Easy to use touchscreen interface • Electronic signatures – batch/lot control – equipment ID • Alarms/alerts/charting/email notification • Tight integration to XA and MDCC Let’s take a closer look at QM… QM Highlights This is the QM Main Menu… 6 Paper-Less QM – Sample Setup Screens From the Main Menu you can perform all the setup functions 7 Paper-Less QM – Sample Setup Screens You start by defining test equipment, defect codes, trends, units-of-measure, etc… 8 Paper-Less QM – Sample Setup Screens (Control Plans) …then you create a Control Plan. Control plans are location, revision level, and effective date controlled. We also include a complete maintenance history to help you track all the changes made to your control plans. 9 Control Plans can bePlans) associated Paper-Less QM – Sample Setup Screens (Control with a single item or with a family of items. You can add tester notes, attachments, and enable “electronic signatures” that will require the tester to enter their badge and password prior to entering test results. 10 Paper-Less QM – Sample Setup Screens (Control Plans) You define the type of test you want to perform: -Attribute -Variable Attribute Entry enables test results to be entered using simple buttons with text or they can enter a qty of a result such as 95 Passed and 5 Failed. You define the appropriate defect codes, how and what to test, and what to do when you have a problem or non-conforming part. 11 QM Sample Setup Screens (Control Plans) Variable Paper-Less Entry gives you the–ability to input numeric test results. You define what unit of measure to use, target values, upper and lower control and specification limits, and even the number of decimals you allow the tester to enter. 12 Paper-Less QM – Sample Setup Screens (Control Plans) To further assist the tester during test entry, you can add attachments, “rich text” (images and text), even videos, etc. 13 Paper-Less QM – Sample Setup Screens (Control Plans) Here you can define the Sample Size and Timing using 100% inspection, fixed sample sizes or AQL sampling plans. You can “link” the test to a specific operation or work center for Mfg Orders, and to all purchase orders for an item or just a specific vendor for that item. The Sampling Plan can be overridden at the vendor level for purchased parts. 14 Paper-Less QM – Sample Setup Screens (Control Plans) And finally, you can create Alarms that enable you to specify trend conditions to monitor for, and the response the system should take when an alarm is triggered. Responses can include tester notification, creating a non conforming material report, and even the ability to send an e-mail to notify appropriate personnel. 15 QM in action… 16 Paper-Less QM – In action QM is fully integrated with MDCC Mfg Orders. Test “notification” and entry is automatically displayed when performing a Job-On transaction and/or when reporting production qty activity at Job Off. 17 Paper-Less QM – In action You can also test inbound materials received from your suppliers from directly within QM. 18 Paper-Less QM – Test entry Test entry begins by providing the tester with a summary of all the critical quality information required for test entry including what needs to tested, how to test it, sampling sizes, etc. 19 Paper-Less QM – Test entry The Control Plan manages when and how to enter test data for multiple items. You can use two entry methods: - page (enter multiple characteristic tests for the same sample piece) - sequential (the same characteristic tests for multiple sample pieces) 20 Paper-Less QM – Test entry As each test is presented, you can require entry/identification of the test equipment used, a batch/lot number, serial numbers, electronic signatures, etc. 21 Paper-Less QM – Test entry The tester then enters the test results and any pertinent observations about the test. 22 If a problem orQM non-conforming Paper-Less – Test entry part is identified, you can enter one or more defect codes and their quantities to define what defects were found… 23 Paper-Less QM – Test entry …and automatically create a nonconforming material report, or send an email notification that you have a problem on the floor. 24 Paper-Less QM – Test entry This is an example of the automatic email notification. You define what information you want to send and who it goes to! The message can also be configured to use variables in the body of the email that will include info such as the order, item number, vendor, workcenter, characteristic, date/time stamp, etc. 25 Paper-Less QM – Non-Conformance reporting and management You can manage and update non-conformance reports. 26 Paper-Less QM – viewing test results and trends View and graph test results and trends… 27 Paper-Less QM – viewing the Test Log …or use the QM Log sheet to search and view tests, trends, and even perform a re-test. 28 In summary… 29 29 Let’s take a sneak peek at the next generation - CPM… CPM Sneak Peek CPM – Sneak Peek CPM – Sneak Peek CPM – Sneak Peek CPM provides these enhancements to QM: • New characteristics types (beyond attribute and variable) • XML interface • Thin client architecture • Enhanced NCR • Role based / workflow design • Positioned for SOA, OAGIS and ESB Enterprise Service Bus • And more!
