Unit 4: Vocabulary Project
Building fluency with vocabulary is critical to understanding the information that we will be
covering in class. In order to help you learn the words, you will be completing a vocabulary project that
you will work on as we progress through Unit 4.
Select one of the following projects to complete.



Flashcards—Create flashcards for the words in each section. On one side of the card, write the
word and draw a picture that relates to it. On the other side, write the definition of the word. You
must make cards for all of the words in Unit 4.
Vocabulary Organizer—Create a vocabulary organizer grid for each word in Unit 4. This
vocabulary organizer MUST be separate from the vocabulary organizer that you complete for
your study guide. You can create this organizer on notebook paper, computer paper, or
construction paper. Make sure your sentences demonstrate your understanding of the vocabulary
words. (You cannot write something like “I like __________.” Use your notes, the PowerPoint,
and the TechBook to help you create your sentences.)
Content Paragraph—Use the vocabulary words for each section to write a summarizing
paragraph about the information you have learned. You must also include a drawing that reflects
the information you included in your paragraph. Make sure your paragraph demonstrates your
understanding of the vocabulary words.
I will be checking your progress on this project at the end of each section. The project will be turned
in on the day of the test.
