KNR 245 Teaching Individual/Dual Sports and Activities Class Notebook Directions: Each student will be assigned one day to take detailed class notes of each class activity, drill or game. Be sure to note the formation of the class, cues used, and teaching points in your description. Follow the format shown below. If we do a drill that is from the textbook, simply reference the book and the page it is on. There is no need to write it up. Once your write-up is complete, bring it to Dr. Coleman for a final check before posting it in the shared internet folder. Timeline: Monday class – check in with instructor by Wed., post by next Monday Wednesday class – check in with instructor by Mon., post by next Wed. These handouts should be kept in a class binder along with any other class handouts. Format: Unit: Focus: Date: Compiled by: Name of Activity: Provide a name for all class activities and games. Equipment: List all equipment needed to participate in the activity. Indicate the amount of equipment needed (cones, poly spots, etc.). For a golf activity, you may write that each pair of students needs a particular club. Formation and Description: Use enough detail so that another physical educator could follow these activities.
