Introduction
The global economy is closely monitoring the presence of Islamic Banking and
Finance. Since its first step in the modern Banking and finance late eighties, the
Islamic Banking and Finance have crossed the five hundred finance houses and
banking institutions; not only in Islamic
world, but across entire world.
According to international statistics and studies, Islamic Banking and Finance has
achieved a currency of about US$ 1,9 trillion with a registered growth average of
15- 25%.
This extraordinary presence and growth was not limited to Islamic world only,
The Islamic Finance has invades world largest and greatest economies.
Economists and economy concerned officials and scholars have closely
monitored this success story. Whilst the World Economy have witnessed the
Financial Crunch in 2008 and while IBEX 35 shown regretful economic decline.
All above, made the idea of finding a gateway to link these investment eager
finance houses and the economies in need to overcome the recession and the
financial challenges they face, a onetime idea.
Madrid is not chosen by chance to launch an Islamic Banking and Finance forum.
The city poses valuable information's on topic and excellent facilities and
opportunities for Islamic Finance and Banking. Madrid is the desired destination
and location of Spanish and many International known financial institutions,
besides being the location of Spanish central Bank, IBEX35 and the location of
many Spanish important authorities and finance and banking institutions.
Nevertheless, Madrid is the center and location academic research. There are
seven official universities in Madrid.
