Directions: In class, discuss these questions with 2 or 3 partners. Complete 1 group answer sheet. Look at the way Ngo has credited sources. 1. In paragraph five, Ngo has placed the note crediting (Sagan 2) in the middle of the sentence rather than at the end where all other notes in the essay are placed. Why? (WN 440-442) 2. Ngo has twelve sources listed in his Works Cited. Can you find a reference for each of them in the text of his essay? Write the paragraph number where you found each next to the source on the Works Cited list on your handout.(Divide the job; let each group member find three or four, depending on your group’s size.) 3. In paragraph five, line six, notice that no page number is included for the book source by Barker, Hulme, and Iverson. Why not? (WR 446--#15) 4. In paragraph seven, the final note credits (Hart 116-117; Johnson). Why are both sources listed? Why are no page numbers given for the Johnson source? (WR 445--#11 + 442-443--#4) 5. In the Shipman works cited entry, the page number is listed as 70+. What does that mean? (WR 453- read middle of page info)
