Fifth Grade Welcome! Goals for fifth grade students Students will respect the spirit of God within themselves and others. Students will continue to grow as independent thinkers. Over the course of 11 days, your child is asked to answer six questions about the book they are reading at home. These questions are designed to enhance/develop their reading comprehension and can be applied to any book. The Reading Log will be collected and graded every other Friday and returned the following Monday to begin again. Most of the questions only require a 2-3 sentence answer (but I will always accept more). Writing Students will be exposed to many different forms of writing. • Students will be focusing on the 6+1 traits of writing.
