Introduction and Objectives
Briefly describe here why your research was conducted. What outstanding problems
(research gaps) did the research address? What hypothesis was tested? What were
your objectives in undertaking the research project.
Relationship to Career Goals
Summarize the relevance and significance of the internship to your career goals.
Such summaries should describe and reflect upon professional activities the student
engaged in and how these activities will assist them in their future career. Use
pictures and figures as appropriate.
Methods
Briefly describe the procedures and methods used in your research and which are
necessary for understanding and interpreting your findings. Methods and Results will
likely be the longest sections of the poster
References
Give full citation for journal articles or other resource you utilized in conducting your
research. This can be methods you used from a previously conducted study, or
previous research results you built upon with your research. Be sure to include intext citations where appropriate.
Results
Acknowledgements
Briefly describe your findings. Use figures with figure legends when possible.
Figures can be photographs, graphs, charts, tables etc. If there is not enough space
here, the “Results” section can be moved to the right hand side of the poster and
“Conclusions” can be moved lower to make room.
This is where you thank anyone who helped you conduct your research who is not
listed as an author at the top of the poster. This might be someone who provided
technical help or who advised or mentored you. It is also important to thank the
source of your funding. Thanking people of a personal nature (e.g. your spouse or
parents is not appropriate on a poster). { Please be sure to include the following
