Gail Gibbons
• Gail Gibbons was born in Oak Park, Illinois, in 1944. When she was a
child, she made books and bound them with yarn to hold the pages
together.
• Before she started writing books, she did artwork for television
shows.
• Gail Gibbons has written and illustrated over 70 books!
• Now she lives with her husband and lots of wild animals in Corinth,
Vermont.
• "Even as a child, I was always putting books together."
