Funding
Disadvantage
The Education Endowment Foundation (EEF) exists to fund, develop and
evaluate cost effective and replicable projects which address educational
disadvantage. The focus is on supporting innovation and on scaling up
projects which have a measurable impact on attainment or a directly related
outcome. The EEF will fund projects which are large enough to be robustly
evaluated and organisations that we can effectively support, with the smallest
grant expected to be in the order of £50,000 a year. From mid-June the EEF
will be seeking general proposals on improving attainment - the deadline for
this round will be 3 October 2013.
Social investment
The £10m Investment and Contract Readiness Fund, managed by The

£150,000 are available on a rolling basis to ambitious social ventures who will
go on to raise at least £500,000 investment, or who want to bid for contracts
over £1 million.
The Bridges Social Impact Bond Fund provides capital investment and
support to organisations to deliver programmes designed to improve social
outcomes in areas such as education, employment, housing and care for
vulnerable young people in the UK. Each investment made by the fund will be
up to £3 million to deliver an outcomes-funded intervention programme.

Applications are welcomed from charities that have an annual turnover of less
than £100,000 per annum. They plan to make one year grants of £1,000 £10,000 to charities which can demonstrate that such a grant will make a
significant difference to their work. There are no deadlines for submission.
