 Absorbs and transports digestive fats
 Filtration of micro organisms such as bacteria and foreign
substances
 Transports large molecular compounds such as enzymes and
hormones from their manufactured sites to the bloodstream

department/police and the incoming pathogens from the

 Lymphoma – type of cancer that typically occurs when the
white blood cells in the body become diseased or damaged
 Elephantiasis - infection of the lymphatic vessels causing a
thickening of the skin and enlargement of other underlying
tissues, especially in the legs and genitals
