Tofino Security (a subsidiary of Belden Inc.) is an internationally recognized team of security,
software development and control systems professionals dedicated to defending critical
Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) and industrial control systems from cyberattack. We provide specialty security technologies to major energy companies, power companies
and government security agencies for the cyber protection of critical applications such as public
water systems, oil pipelines and transportation systems.
Position Description:
The person in this position is familiar with the industrial markets and is able to develop and
execute marketing programs that will increase awareness and drive sales of the Tofino
Industrial Security Solution. Focus is on web and social media based inbound marketing.
Initially resources and budgets are low and the challenge is to create a high impact in the
market with these restraints. As the business grows this person is able to scale programs to
meet increased business demands.
Responsibilities include:







Creating and executing the annual marketing plan and budget.
Managing the development and execution of inbound marketing programs such as blogging,
social media activity, and content development for 3rd party publication.
Developing relationships with press and media and to generate positive media coverage for
Tofino Security and its products.
Working with analyst groups to position the company and its technology as the leader in
industrial cyber security solutions.
Managing www.tofinosecurity.com to meet business requirements and provide a positive
user experience. Includes SEO and integration with social media activities.
Evaluating marketing technology and recommending and implementing appropriate
solutions. Includes Content Management Systems such as Drupal, sales and marketing
databases such as Salesforce.com and marketing automation tools such as Hubspot.
Managing the development of product collateral, application notes, White Papers, case
studies and other marketing materials.









Planning and executing product launches.
Managing the development and execution of outbound marketing programs such as
speaking opportunities at conferences and trade shows, and lead generation programs.
Working with the head of Sales to develop materials and programs that support sales efforts
and targets.
Collaborating with OEM customers and partners around the world on joint marketing and
sales activities.
Developing a strong sales and marketing network within the Hirschmann and Belden
organizations.
Leveraging Belden initiatives wherever possible to help achieve Tofino Security objectives.
Participating in cross-Belden marketing and sales initiatives such as developing a security
vision and messages for the corporation.
Managing the Marketing Specialist and Marketing Co-ordinator staff on a day-to-day basis,
and continuously developing their skills.
Contributing to company planning, strategy and management.
Skills required include:






Experience in senior marketing and leadership positions at fast growing technology
companies.
Skills in all areas of the marketing mix including new elements such as social media
marketing and content-based inbound marketing.
Proven track record in hiring, leading and developing teams.
Ability to build business value with limited marketing budgets.
Capable of scaling up and adapting marketing programs as revenues increase.
Gifted at working productively with partner organizations and with other groups within
Belden.
Educational Requirements:

A Bachelor’s degree and an MBA are ideal.
