Review of questions
asked …
Q&A
CTL
Epsilen ePortfolio Faculty Training Seminar

Is it possible to
download files in
batch? This question
came from a faculty
member who would
like to download
students' homework
assignments in a
dropbox, by one
single click.

This request has come
in previously and has
been submitted to the
R&D team for review
but as of yet hasn’t
made it to the
production timeline.
Q&A
CTL
Epsilen ePortfolio Faculty Training Seminar

After homework is past
the due date, is it
possible to lock the
access from students
(so that late
submissions won't be
allowed?) ...does it
work by making, say, a
Drop Box not public
any more?

Drop Boxes can be
locked in the “Course
module” but NOT in
“Groups”
Q&A
CTL


Likewise, how does one
lock down access to a
file (e.g. a resume)
past a given date,
without deleting the
file.

If you are still
referring to course
Drop Boxes then again
if you lock the drop
box that contains the
file not only does it
prevent students from
uploading new files to
the box but it also
prevents them from
editing existing files.
Q&A
CTL



Is it possible to
upload MP3 files? (Is
there limitation on any
file format?)
Possible to open and
play MP3 files from
someone else’s
ePortfolio?


This file type is not
restricted
If the file is shared you
can download it but
there is no built in
audio player
Q&A
CTL
Epsilen ePortfolio Faculty Training Seminar


What is the file size
limit on uploads?
In the course module, is
it possible to export a
course?


File upload limit is
50MB per upload
Not currently but
Epsilen has plans to
introduce additional
flexibility for
importing & exporting
courses later this year
Q&A
CTL
Epsilen ePortfolio Faculty Training Seminar

Can one create a
“Group” for alumni
without them having to
login? (i.e. without
them having an Epsilen
account?)

Yes, anyone with the
URL to the Group
page can visit it;
however, they will not
be able to contribute
or interact with the
Web page.
