ANNETTE/CHAD: Madison has bought into Telepresence (Cisco): check out videos – this a robust
teleconferencing software that creates a virtual meeting environment with real time real people
experience.

Norm – CVTC – 4 week newbie – SharePoint Developer – business analysis and project management –
has conducted discovery sessions – from manufacturing environment – has been through integration
project. Willing to share planning documents in SPRING – maybe present
Jason – WTC Web Dev Specialist – web portal – does it all – PS portal – looking at CMS – Looking at

Scott – programmer – knight in shining armor – if it doesn’t fit into package – other duties as assigned –

Western: secure portal for student access - challenge – 3 separate servers plus Madison server that
causes 3 separate logins sometimes – uses style sheets – uses https urls like SSI to pull html content.
Employee – HR Link – Guest, Student & employee roll (no dev on faculty role – grades entered directly
into PS – working with Oracular.
CVTC: Portal – MyCVTC – banner and luminous – Tabs: MyCVTC, My Courses (CITRIX), My Course
Software, Student Life, Staff/Faculty - single signin – to email, blackboard, etc. – very text driven
SHAREPOINT – login same as portal - intranet only so far.
myCVTC portal – branding using css for look feel. Has Kerbos in place.
MATC – Implementing Druple as CMC – drive with pglets – secure information. Branding same for
student /staff
Student life requests – no single sign on yet – public site – RSS Feed
WITC/MSTC portal notes
Completed upgrade to 9.0 including student center, faculty center and employee center. Streamlined
information based on student focus groups.

CVTC – SharePoint
Announcements creation and document storage – created a MySite that customers can move items
around. Site collection is more rigid. Developed filters based on how they want it delivered.
DISCUSSION: Should PeopleSoft User Group be redesigned to a SharePoint User Group? More
discussion at Webmaster’s Meeting.
DECISION from Webmaster’s Meeting – will schedule meeting the day before the webmaster’s meeting
and see how many are interested at that time.
