Evaluating Possible Sources
• Is the source authoritative?
– An authoritative source is one that can be relied upon
to provide accurate information.
• Is the source unbiased?
– An unbiased source is one whose author lacks any
prejudices that would make his or her work unreliable.
• Is the source up-to-date?
• Is the work written at an appropriate level?
• Does the source come highly recommended?
• When do I make a source card?
• What is a working bibliography?
• What about the Works Cited list?
