High School Exit Exam
• Purpose:
– Help improve student achievement in high school
– Ensure that graduates meet state standards in reading, writing
and math
• Composed of two Sections:

• To satisfy the “A-G” requirements the courses must
appear on SYHS UC approved course list

credit (weighted grade) on the A-G list.

Driver’s Education:
• Register online for Drivers Ed course
• Receive a certificate of completion in mail
• When students are 15.5 years old, go to the DMV to take
the permit test (written one) – form DL 44 (need social
security number), the Dr. Ed. Certificate, copy of Birth
Certificate, $31 and a parent/guardian.
• Sign up for Driver’s Training (behind the wheel) at SYHS
•
– Fee $160
On 16th birthday, students return to the DMV to take the
“behind the wheel portion of test.
