TUTOR PANEL
APPLICATION PROCESS
Suitable applicants must send application form accompanied by a cover letter (no more than one A4 sheet) and an up
to date CV (no more than 2 pages), paying particular attention to the essential and desirable criteria in the job
description, your suitability and why you are appropriate for the post in question.

SELECTION PROCESS
All applications will be considered and a short list of applicants will be called for interview.
It is the intention to conduct interviews during the week commencing 20th April 2015.
It is envisaged that the successful applicant will be advised of the outcome within a week of interviews and will
commence employment as soon as possible thereafter.

Adult & Community Education, Community Development Projects, Early Childhood & School Age Education Initiatives
and Labour Market Initiatives for a range of part-time posts in accredited and non accredited courses which may arise
in key locations in South County Dublin in areas such as:

General Job Description
Tutors appointed to the panel will have a good knowledge and understanding of the ethos of childhood, adult and
community education and will be required to fulfil the following duties under the overall direction of the South Dublin
County Partnership strategic objectives and in accordance with South Dublin County Partnership’s Education Plan:
1. Plan, develop, deliver and assess programmes that are responsive to the education needs and interests of
children, young people and adult learners (as applicable);
2. Report regularly to the programme managers;
3. Source and develop appropriate materials for use with children, young people and adult learners;
4. Monitor and report on the attendance and progress of children, young people and adult learners;
5. Maintain appropriate records as required by the programme
6. Attend staff meetings and participate in in-service training as required;
7. Contribute to the development of an appropriate child, young person and adult learning environment;
