D8 21st Century Learning Design (part 1) This is a two hour session Patti Oakley, Kentucky Academy of Technology Education (KATE) Murray State University D206 The purpose of the 21st Century Learning Design rubrics is to help educators identify and understand the opportunities that learning activities give students to build 21st century skills. We'll look at each rubric and code several lessons to determine their level of skills for the 21st century and discuss how they could be changed to make them better. This will be useful for substitute teachers, students who are absent, students who need assistance in mastering skills, and parents who need assistance in order to help their child/children.
