Directions: Students will be assigned a psychological disorder category and asked to conduct research on the overall category as well as a specific disorder within the category. The information collected will then be presented in three ways: research paper, visual representation, and oral presentation. The guidelines for each component of the project may be found below. Provide a detailed description of the specific disorder you have chosen. What are the symptoms? What sets it apart from other disorders found within the same category? How is the specific disorder diagnosed? What tests or criteria must be met to diagnose the disorder? What factors predispose a person to this disorder? Treatment/Course of Action Explain the treatment options or the course of action taken for this disorder. Daily Life How does this disorder affect a person’s daily life? Conclusions What should we learn from the research you have conducted? What are the future implications? At least 5 sources should be used in your research and cited using APA format.
