2015 NJUA JOINT INSURANCE FUND SAFETY INCENTIVE PROGRAM The purpose of the NJUA Safety Incentive Program is to reduce accidents by encouraging participation in JIF safety related activities and training programs. Members that accumulate 75 points over the course of a year will qualify for the Safety Incentive Program award. Members with 10 or fewer full time employees must only accumulate 50 points. Award plaques will be presented at the Annual Safety Awards Breakfast. Two Extra Credit categories are available for service and reduction of LTAF rate. Points are awarded based on the following categories. SIP ELEMENT 1. Establish & maintain an active safety committee that meets at least four times per year. Safety Coordinators may e-mail records or use the “fillable safety committee minutes” form found on the NJUAJIF.org website. Points awarded 4 points per update, Max 16 per year 2. Complete applicable safety training. Quarterly updates 4 points per update, Max 16 per required, due on the following dates: April 30, 2015, July year 31, 2015, October 30, 2015 & January 15, 2016. See recommended and required training on attached page. 3. Attend Quarterly Training Seminars - There will be two 8 points per quarter, Max 32 per training seminars provided per quarter on various topics. year 4. Participate in 2015 Safety EXPO. Send at least one 6 points per Safety Expo, Max 12 representative to one of the annual Safety EXPO’s. per year 5. Attend Executive Safety Committee meetings. Safety Breakfast counts as a meeting 4 points per meeting, Max 16 per year 6. Complete all outstanding Suggestions for Improvement 8 points per year in a timely manner (no open “important” suggestions more than 2 years old). Extra Credit: Maintain or improve Lost Time Accident Max 10 points per year Frequency Rate for the local authority, valued as of 01/31/16. Members that have no lost time accidents will be awarded the points. Extra Credit: Service Point.
