Advanced Service Project Manager
In this role you’ll be part of an actively growing Advanced Services team. The Cisco Advanced Services organization helps
customers optimize their network investment and speed adoption and migration of advanced technologies. A key component
of the AS portfolio is our Project Management capability and expertise. The AS Project Manager is responsible for the successful
completion of customer projects ensuring that the project objectives, customer acceptance criteria and internal performance
metrics are achieved. Cisco utilises the Project Management Institute standards for the management of projects and programs.
While your career will be developing some travel may be required. You’d be provided with training in your first months,
followed by hands-on training on projects assisted by an experienced Cisco Project Manager.
Associate PM Requirements

Minimum BS/BA from a 3-4 year technical program

Business or technical degrees preferred

Understanding of Project Methodology Basics

Ability to live and work in the country of your application with no additional VISA sponsorship from Cisco

Must be fluent in English as well as the native language of the country of your application

Must be able to begin full time employment on 26 January 2015


Advanced Services Project Manager Responsibilities
The AS Project Manager is responsible for the successful completion of customer projects ensuring that the project
objectives, customer acceptance criteria and internal performance metrics are achieved. The AS PM is also responsible for
ensuring compliance with legislation and regulatory requirements such as H&S, compliance with contractual obligations,
ISO certification requirements and Cisco policies and processes at all times. In addition, the AS Project Manager is
responsible for managing internal and external stakeholders, subcontractor partners and project team members and
ensuring the accuracy of project data in internal tools and systems.
Core Project Management Knowledge Areas (PMI)
Project Integration Management:
Processes and activities needed to identify, define, combine, unify and coordinate the various processes and project
management activities. Planning, Execution, Controlling, Closing.
Project Scope Management:
Processes required to ensure that the project include all the work required, and only the work required, to complete the
project successfully.
Project Time Management: Processes required to manage timely completion of the project. Supports Defining Activities,
Sequencing Activities, Estimating Activity Resources, Estimating Activity Durations, Developing a Schedule, and Controlling
a Schedule.
Project Cost Management:
Processes involved in estimating, budgeting and controlling costs so that the project can be completed with the approved
budget. Supports Estimating Costs, Determining Budget and Controlling Costs.
Project Quality Management:
Processes and activities that determine quality policies, objectives and responsibilities so that the project will satisfy the
needs for which it was undertaken.
Project Human Resource Management:
Processes that organize, manage and lead the project team. Supports developing Human Resource Plan, Acquiring Project
Team, Developing Project Team and Managing Project Team.
Project Communications Management:
Processes required to ensure timely and appropriate generation, collection, distribution, storage, retrieval and ultimate
disposition of project information.
Project Risk Management:
Process of conducting risk management planning, identification, analysis, response planning and monitoring and
controlling to increase the probability and impact of positive events and decrease the probability and impact of negative
events.
Program structure:

First 3 months (together with all aPMs from EMEAR): full-time training, shadowing and job rotation. Location: Krakow,
Poland. Cisco will support you with the relocation.

After 3 months: join the local AS team in your home country for which you have applied for.
