Safety in PE and Recess
Wearing appropriate shoes for PE and Recess is very important for the safety of our students. The Dress
Code, as found in the Brady Elementary Student Handbook on page 21, states: Shoes with wheels, flipflops, slip on sandals, house shoes/slippers, shoes with high heels or thick soles are prohibited and should
not be brought or worn to school. Shoes must remain fastened at all times. Tennis shoes are encouraged
due to safety at PE and Recess. ---We have had students wearing slick soled shoes who have been injured
during physical activities. Please help your child remain safe at school by having them wear appropriate
shoes. Thank you!!
