Summary
All underground mines are regulated the
same, regardless of size.
The elimination of accidents, injuries, and
fatalities is a common goal shared by the
various groups associated with mining. The
collaborative effort from the State/Federal
agencies, mining companies, mining
organizations, mine labor, safety and health
organizations, and academia has shown to
be effective in promoting and achieving safer
mines.
