Abraham’s Special Blessing
• God made a special
promise to Abraham.
• Abraham had a son
named Isaac.
• Isaac had a son
named Jacob.
• Jacob then had 12
sons.
Judah a Leader
• Judah received a
special promise.
• His future
genealogy would
contain a leader of
Israel
• Judah’s future
ancestor’s name
was David.
King David
• David did many
good things
and God made
him King of
Israel.
• The LORD
made a
promise to King
David that is
found in the
Tanakh.
2 Samuel 7:12, 13, 16
“When your days are complete and you lie
down with your fathers, I will raise up your
descendant after you, who will come forth
from you, and I will establish his kingdom.
13 He shall build a house for My name, and I
will establish the throne of his kingdom
forever. 16 Your house and your kingdom
shall endure before Me forever; your throne
shall be established forever.”
