KSBN’s 2015 Book
The Other Wes Moore
by Wes Moore
Two kids named Wes Moore were born blocks apart within
a year of each other. Both grew up fatherless in similar
Baltimore neighborhoods and had difficult childhoods. Both
hung out on street corners with their crews. Both ran into
trouble with the police. How did one grow up to be a
Rhodes Scholar, decorated veteran, White House Fellow,
and business leader, while the other ended up a convicted
murderer serving a life sentence?
KSBN: Books & Events
• First-year students receive copies
• Copies also available for purchase
• Or borrowing through Hale and the Sigma
Tau Delta lending library
• Fall events: Wes Moore (Oct 14), a faculty
lecture series, and more
• Please talk with students about book and
encourage them to attend events
Reminders
• Check website www.k-state.edu/first for upto-date information and course listings
• Please recommend FYS courses and CAT
Communities to your first-year advisees
• Please enroll each student in only one FYS or
CAT Community
• If you have questions, problems, or special
circumstances, please contact us anytime.
Thank you!
