How to Activate your MyU Portal Account
1. To get your Network Login ID, go to the link below:
https://myu.umc.edu/irj/portal/anonymous?NavigationTarget=ROLES://portal_content/Guest/GuestiViews/GuestHowToApply
On the “Admissions Application” page, select the “Get Your Network Login ID and Student Number” link.
Enter your First Name, Last Name, Date of Birth, and select the link “Get Network Login ID.”
If a match is found, your Network Login ID and Student Number will be displayed.
*Note: After retrieving your information, select the “Hot to Activate Your Account” link to
ensure your internet browser has the correct settings to access your MyU portal account.
If a match is not found, you will receive an error message like the one below. If this occurs, please
contact the Service Desk at ServiceDesk@umc.edu or 601-984-1145.
2. Once you have your Network ID, you can select a password of your choice at the link below:
https://password.umc.edu/CAS/
Type in your Network Login ID, the last 4 digits of your Social Security Number, and the day of your birth,
and select the “Reset my password” link.
Next, you will be prompted to create and answer three security questions.
After you have created your security questions you will be prompted to create a new password. You
must follow the password guidelines in order to access the MyU portal.
After creating your new password, you will receive a message saying that your password has been
changed. Close this window.
Return to www.myu.umc.edu and enter your Network Login ID and new password and select the “signin” button. You will then be logged into the MyU portal and your account activation will be complete.
