Occupational Education/Career & Technical Education: 1 credit (Course Codes beginning with CT).
 All course codes beginning with “CT” count toward the Occupational Education/Career &
Technical Education credit.
Electives: 5 credits
 Any classes may count toward elective credit one all credits in a credit area have been earned
(for example – a 3rd year of science would be elective credit).
 Students may not count a class in more than one credit area, however, there are some Career
and Technical Education courses which may be used to meet two graduation requirements.
For example, Health Science I/Medical Careers I may count toward Career and Technical
Education and Health. See the Two-For-One Policy page for more information.
Career Education=0.5 credit and Culminating Project=0.5 credit
 Students must complete their Portfolio and Student Led Conferences through Careers class in
grades 9-12. Students must pass each semester during grades 9-12. 0.125 credit is awarded
for each semester passed.

Two-for-One Policy
(WAC 180-51-067)
Beginning with the class of 2016, students who take a CTE (Career and Technical
Education) course, which may also meet a second graduation requirement, may satisfy
two graduation requirements while earning credit for a single course. The purpose of
this policy is to create flexibility for students to choose more elective courses or to
address other graduation requirements. The total number of credits the student needs
to graduate will not change.
