Sealed Open Tenders on prescribed form for the following work are invited by the Senior Engineer/Thermit
Portion Plant/NR, Charbagh, Lucknow for & on behalf of President of India. The tenders will be received in the sealed
tender box placed at the office of the Senior Engineer/ Thermit Portion Plant/NR, Charbagh, Lucknow up-to 14.30
hours on Date 10.04.2014 which will be opened in presence of the tenderer on the same day (i.e.10.04.2014) at
15.00 hours. In case this opening day happens to be a Public Holiday, the tenders will be received and opened on the
next working day at the same time and place.

The tender forms will be available for sale in the office of the Senior Engineer/Thermit Portion
Charbagh, Lucknow in advance by 15 days from the Opening Date of Tender, which can be had there-from on cash
payment of cost of the tender form between 10.00 hours to 15.30 hours on any working day during the period from
27.03.2014 to 09.04.2014 & only up to 12.00 hrs on the day of tender’s opening on 10.04.2014. The tender form can
also be had by furnishing the Money Receipt in original for Cost of Tender Form, which may be obtained by
depositing the cost of Tender form with the DCPM/NR/Charbagh, Lucknow infavour of Sr. AFA(W)/NR, Charbagh,
Lucknow. The tenderer, desirous of getting the tender form by post, should send Rs.500/- extra towards Postal
charges, at least 10 days before to date of tender’s opening with the cost of tender form as shown above, through
MONEY ORDER only to the Senior Engineer/Thermit Portion Plant/NR, Charbagh, Lucknow. However, Rly will
not be responsible for delay/loss/non-receipt of tender form sent by post.
Note: - (i)This tender notice, released to Press by Northern Railway is also available on Northern Railway Website.
Interested party/parties may visit Website "http.//www.nr.indianrailways.gov.in". In case the tender
document is downloaded from Northern Railway Website, mentioned above, the tender document should have
to be enclosed with a Demand Draft for the cost of tender form, mentioned above, and issued by any
Nationalized Bank, duly pledged in favour of Sr. AFA (W) /NR, Charbagh, Lucknow while submitting the
tender. Otherwise the tender will be summarily rejected.
(ii)The cost of tender form and postal charges (if any) is not refundable & the tender form is not transferable.
The prescribed amount of Earnest Money as above should be deposited either in cash with
DCPM/NR/Charbagh,Lucknow or in either shape/manner as described in tender forms, issued by any
Nationalized/Schedule Bank duly pledged in favour of Sr. AFA(W)/NR, Charbagh, Lucknow. The tender not
accompanied with Earnest Money in due & proper manner with due validity, as mentioned above, shall not be
considered and such tender shall be rejected summarily. The tenderer will have to keep their offer open and valid
for 90 days from the date of tender’s opening. In case, the tenderer withdraws their offer within this validity period
of 90 days or failed to execute the contract on acceptance of their tender, the full amount of Earnest Money shall
be forfeited.
