Role Description Job Title: Business Analyst – assumes to be within the functional areas of People Change, Finance or Manufacturing Location: Birmingham Role Definition: End to end design and implementation of Business Systems following approved design and project management frameworks Deliver Business Systems solutions and requirements in line with efficiency, availability and warranty demands of the business through design and continuous improvement Provide a key link between the business and IT for project activity, ensuring effective communication and ABP processes are followed. Identify risks associated with the end to end services around Business Systems and suggest solutions to mitigate said risks Provide training to the service support and operations teams on Business Systems Reporting Relationships: Page 1 of 4 Budget Responsibility: Person in this role seeks capital and operational expenditure approval from line management Accountabilities: To provide an analytical and leadership resource to deliver the business systems strategy and design for the relevant functional area. Become the ‘champion’ in the relevant business systems arena enabling the business to gain maximum benefit from IT. Support SLA delivery for Incident Management and Request Fulfilment through provision of expert guidance and support Working with business representatives and IT teams to understand and deliver business requirements Define, document and agree processes that meet the agreed business goals and translate into operational processes within the relevant business systems Working as part of the IT team to integrate and align current and future business system projects with the agreed strategy Responsible for completely owning the delivery lifecycle of project activities and business issues relating to the relevant business systems area Ensure that the site management and process owners understand and agree all the designed processes using agreed methodologies Identify, configure and implement systems to support the agreed processes. Working with various virtual implementation teams, both formal and informal, to ensure successful delivery and roll out at multiple UK sites. Provide training and support documentation to the business and IT services team on new and modified services Produce deliverables / documentation in a timely manner and ensure they are maintained Managing and liaising with external suppliers and contractors as appropriate Work in a structured way using the agreed project methodology and produce project deliverables / documentation in a timely manner. Contribute to the ‘Out of hours’ support programme Completion of improvement actions through the provision of expert advice and guidance for business systems within the relevant functional area Proactively identify further opportunities within the business systems framework for improvement Identify and share best practice and contribute to raising awareness, improving performance and transitioning to a “pro-active” culture Competency Requirements: Resilience Never gives up. Knowledge/Skills/Qualifications: What skills, qualifications and experience are necessary for FULL and EFFECTIVE performance The ideal candidate will demonstrate a background of analysis and support of business systems within a large and complex infrastructure Experience in provision of systems support and analysis is essential Experience in process, design and management of business systems in a FMCG environment is essential Proven understanding of interface design between enterprise and ERP solutions is essential Prior knowledge and experience of software and process testing is essential Systems implementation project experience is preferable. High level of knowledge within the relevant functional area (People Change, Finance or Manufacturing) is essential Previous experience using query tools and writing queries is preferable High levels of analytical skills, demonstrated through business systems analysis experience and introducing change into business processes is preferable Excellent verbal and written communication skills; including communicating with technical and non-technical clients and staff at all organisational levels with a customer orientated approach is essential. Team player with ability to be self-sufficient , using a collaborative approach to solve problems is essential Ability to work in a structured project environment to deliver the agreed project objectives and business goals set out by the project manager and the business is essential Ability to manage people involved in the project whether internal or external suppliers is essential Strong planning and organisational skills are essential. Adaptability/to be flexible to changing project and business demands is essential.
