This course will prepare you to take the State Certification Exam. The
Nurse’s Aide Training Course covers basic nursing skills, personal care
skills and recognition for mental health and social service needs. You
will assist in taking vital signs, meet patient’s hygiene, safety, nutrition,
exercise, elimination, comfort and oxygen needs. A Mantoux test is
required prior to clinical rotation. Uniforms, and certification fees are

Personal care attendants are not required to have formal training or
high school diplomas. The personal care aspect of the training includes
basic procedures for bathing, dressing, meal prep, feeding, nutrition,
vital signs and assisting clients with medications. Additional areas of

prevention, safety, ergonomics, clients' rights, the Health Insurance

Professional Reflexology Certificate
Do you want a flexible career helping people that you can do from your
own home? If so consider Reflexology. Reflexology is a healing art of
ancient origin. It promotes healing by stimulating the nerves in the
body and encouraging the flow of blood, reduces stress, tension,
anxiety, and enhances the immune system. Properly applied,
Reflexology may alleviate many conditions such as allergy symptoms,
stress, back pain, and chronic fatigue. This intensive certification
workshop is offered in conjunction with New England Institute of
Reflexology and Universal Studies and covers beginner, intermediate
and advanced levels. The workshop includes basic physiology and
anatomy, particularly related to Reflexology; the holistic approach to
Reflexology; reading the feet, demonstration and practice as they
relate to this modality; the history of Reflexology and how to best work
with clients are also covered. There will be class discussions,
homework and quizzes. Hands-on technique is the essence of the inclass portion, while practice and documentation of approximately 30
hours are covered during the course with in-class as well as with athome hours. Following completion of the in-class hours, students are
required to document the remainder of the 60 comprehensive case
studies, complete the exam, and utilize this externship with video
hours, including SKYPE if necessary. The student is awarded a
certificate of completion once all training requirements are met.
