Inductive Thinking Strategy treatment plan for the Introduction to Technology Management class

Description
1. Concept Formation Learners will be assigned reading material
pertaining to Technology Management in
order to gain knowledge of key topics that
can be applied to class assignments.
1.1. Enumeration
Learners will select technology based
and Listing
projects within their school district and
document the project specifications. This
will require Learners to analyze the
feasibility of the specifications. Learners
will generate a list of all possible resources
needed for their project. Results will be
posted to the Class Wiki.
1.2. Grouping
Project peer views will be conducted on the
resources, funding, staff and time,
hardware/ software, total cost of ownership
identified by the learner. During the peer
reviews, learners should seek to identify
gaps in order to develop a robust
assessment of potential problems.
Learners should seek to develop an
understanding of the level of tracking and
managing needed to keep a technology
project within scope. Results will be

1.3. Labeling,

Description

Learners will list existing and potential
risks associated with the project. Results

by analyzing alternate solutions based on a
SWOT analysis. This will require the
Learner to take a proactive approach and
develop work around solutions (schedule
and budgets) that can be implemented in
place of the initial solution with minor
effects on the project outcome. Results

The Learner will present the SWOT
analysis and alternate solutions to peers in
a brainstorming session that will allow
interaction and feedback among the class.
