Thaker Co-House Chair - Appointed Regular meetings of the Euclid Masonic Club Trustees are the first Wednesday of April, June, September and November. The next meeting is scheduled for June 3, 2015, 7:30PM Brethren are welcome. ***EUCLID – THE TRADITION CONTINUES*** Dear Brethren, The process of, "fitting ourselves, as living stones for that spiritual building, that house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens," requires that we, as Speculative Masons and living stones, move from an imperfect or imbalanced state of being (rough ashlar) to a more perfect or balanced state of being (perfect ashlar) while laboring in the quarries of King Solomon’s Temple toward the achievement of our ultimate goal - our “Magnus Opus” - the “Grand Arcanum” otherwise known as the “Great Work”. If you recall, I stated in the previous month’s message, that the process of moving from an imperfect state of being to a more perfect state of being requires a dedicated study of the seven liberal arts and sciences and overcoming of the passions by means of a steadfast and willful application of cleansing, selfdenial, diet, exercise, meditation, and prayer. “Why?” You might ask. Well, the answer is quite simple, in order that we may be better enabled to reach equilibrium of mind, body, and spirit, that is to say, a regulation of our thoughts, management of our emotions, and observation of our actions with all mankind, especially the brethren. You see, brethren, balance or equilibrium of mind, body, and spirit, is perhaps the most integral, least talked about aspect vital to the overall success and management of the selftransformative process regarded in esoteric circles the world over as the “Great Work”. Now, in light of this fact, the following question should be considered: If equilibrium is the most integral, least talked about aspect vital to the overall success and management of the self- transformative process regarded in esoteric circles the world over as the “Great Work”, then how exactly are we, as Speculative Masons, to maintain equilibrium of mind, body and spirit, when faced with the irregularities of the outside world? Well, the answer is quite simple, through the careful, deliberate and indiscriminate use of the operative tools of our craft - the working tools of our profession: The 24” gauge, common gavel, plumb, level, square and trowel. In order so that we may at all times, “circumscribe our desires and keep our passions in due bounds with all mankind, especially the brethren." Most Fraternally in Light, Luis A. Torres, Jr. Worshipful Master ***EUCLID – THE TRADITION CONTINUES*** DESIGNS UPON THE TRESTLEBOARD You and your Masonic Friends are cordially invited to attend the following Communication of Euclid Lodge No. 136 F & A M. at the Masonic Lodge, located at 200 Division Ave. Hasbrouck Heights, NJ.
