Fifteenth Annual Masonic High School Scholarship
Valley View Lodge No. 174 is taking applications for interested senior high school
students graduating in Spring 2011. Scholarships will be awarded to one man and one
woman.
Applications are available from the Glenwood High School guidance & counseling
office. They should then be mailed to Walter Larson, Lodge Secretary, Valley View
Lodge No, 174, 133 E. Minnesota Ave., Glenwood, on or before April 15th. Candidate’s
will be contacted by the Lodge for interviews. Those selected will then be notified with
the scholarship presented at the time of graduation.
The Grand Lodge of Minnesota has provided matching funds for these local scholarships.
To date there are over 115 Minnesota Masonic Lodges and Eastern Star Chapters
participating in this program. Approximately 450 students are awarded scholarships each
year resulting in over $600,000 in scholarship awards to date.
