Alternate Exam Day – If, during the first 4 days of scheduled exams the scheduled exam cannot be written (bus
cancellation etc) the exam for that day would be postponed to the next scheduled day. The alternate exam day
is Tuesday, February 2.
ABSENCE:
In the case of illness, have your parent/guardian call the school at 613-347-2441 before your
exam. On your return you will require a doctor’s certificate for the exam(s) that you have missed.
EXAM PROCEDURE:








During the exam period, students are not expected to be in school on days when they do not write an exam.
Students are not permitted to walk around the halls during the exam period.
During an examination, absolute silence is necessary. Any student caught cheating or assisting any other
student will receive zero on the exam.
Do not bring any textbooks, notebooks, notes or electronics (i-pod, smart phone) into the exam room.
If you miss an exam without a valid reason, you will receive zero in that exam.
Regular bus transportation continues during the exam period. Students will be picked up in the
morning at their regular time and will return home, by bus, at 3:25.
In place of regular classes, students remaining at school will be required to work in a supervised study
area on exam days, unless parents have made arrangements to have their child picked up. Please have your
parent/guardian communicate with the school the date and time you are being picked up following exams
in the morning.
The supervised study period will run from 12:45 p.m. to 3:25 p.m. This is an excellent opportunity to
complete culminating activities or study for exams.
