Community Outreach Weekly Events
Hope Lodge: At this event, we
work with cancer patients
currently undergoing
treatment at Moffitt as well as
their families. We usually play
bingo and hang out with the
residents in an effort to take
their minds off what they are
going through.
Shriners Hospital for
Children: Only four people
are allowed to come with
me each week. During
the hour time
frame PAMSA members
will partake in arts and
crafts activities with the
patients, while earning
community service hours.
Time: every Tuesday from 78pm.

Community:
Conducting different
activities for the senior
residents, such as watching
movies and other events.

Community Outreach Weekly Events
Epilepsy Services Foundation: On
average, once a week we will
attend a variety of different
opportunities that will enhance our
knowledge and awareness
regarding Epilepsy. Several times we
will attend meetings to get an insight
on how Non-Profit organizations
operate, while other times we will
interact one-on-one with individuals
dealing with Epilepsy.
Tutoring at Pizzo Elementary: An
opportunity to work with kids by
reading with them and mentoring
them.
*Background check required for this
event

Physician Shadowing
•
Application for physician shadowing is now open. Remember that in addition to participation in the workshop
series, you must also be an active member of Pre-med AMSA. You have until Monday November 16 at 11:59pm to
submit the application and meet all the requirements. No extensions will be made.
•
Certificates for both workshops are now available for pick up in the office.
•
If you missed either of the workshops, there will be another opportunity for you to participate in the physician
shadowing program next semester. Dates and times will be made available at a later date.
•

When emailing our Directors, please keep in mind that we do our best to respond in a timely manner. We strive to
