Commercial Alliance presents annual sales, leasing achievement awards
VIRGINIA BEACH – The Commercial Alliance, a council within the Hampton Roads REALTORS®
Association, recognized the area’s outstanding commercials sales and leasing professionals for 2013
during an awards banquet Feb. 27 at the Westin Virginia Beach Town Center.
The Sales and Leasing Achievement Awards are available to active real estate professionals who have
attained designated goals in commercial real estate and sales. S. Douglas Henkel with CBRE | Hampton
Roads was honored with Top Commercial Real Estate Producer of the Year and the Hunter S. Hogan Deal
of the Year accolades. Henkel has more than 30 years of commercial real estate experience and is
executive vice president of CBRE Hotels, leading its hotel brokerage practice in Norfolk.
Additionally, Harvey Lindsay Jr., chairman of Harvey Lindsay Commercial Real Estate, received special
recognition for his 60th anniversary in commercial real estate. Harvey, Norfolk’s First Citizen in 1992, received the
REALTOR® of the Year Award from the Norfolk Board of REALTORS® Inc. in 1958.
Mark B. Warlick, who died in July, received a special in-memoriam tribute during the awards ceremony. Warlick was
senior vice president of S.L. Nusbaum Realty Co. at the time of his passing and received the Hampton Roads
Commercial Alliance Person of the Year Award in 2012 in honor of his community volunteerism.
