Upgrade of Core Academic Buildings Campus Objectives 2010 - 2020 Board of Trustees SEPT 24, 2010 Auburn University Campus Objectives 2010-2020 • Construct a new central classroom facility/facilities to provide students with modern, state of the art classroom facilities. • Improve older, deteriorated Academic Buildings to provide a better learning environment for students and working environment for faculty and staff. - Haley Center - Funchess Hall - Upchurch Hall - Parker Hall - Allison Hall - Spidle Hall • Construct a new Student Wellness and Sustainability Center • Redevelop Old Coliseum Site • Create the Health Science Center/Campus • Replace the Small Animal Teaching Hospital • Renovate student housing facilities to improve quality of life. (Hill, CDV dorms, Sewall Hall) • Construct/Renovate Athletic Facilities to increase AU competitiveness. - Multipurpose Indoor Practice Facility - Stadium Renovations • - Olympic Sport Training Facility Renovate architecturally significant Academic Buildings to provide a better learning environment for students and working environment for faculty and staff. - Comer Hall, Textile Bldg, Mary Martin Hall, Dudley Hall, Greene Hall 2 • Construct College/Dept specific research facilities as funding may allow. • Construct other facilities as funding may allow.
