The committee returned to the discussion re: offering MAT 081 and whether there would be the enrollments to support it. P. Fitzer said that, by 2011-12, perhaps Student Services could develop a database that would allow identification of students needing geometry, in order to ensure better enrollments and prevent students from circumventing the requirement for 105. The committee decided to add MAT 081 to the Spring 2012 slate. b. The committee voted to tentatively approve the Math slate. V. MUS a. It was noted that the affiliation with the Lakeland College band had been removed for the time being, since their department is in flux, so MUS 071 is no longer on the slate. b. Reitter told the committee that he had informed the proposed instructors of HES 219 (Raunio & Skurzewski) that the course must be taught as an elective and not a crosslisted course, because BUS 219 does not exist in the catalog. b. Members discussed the addition of a third section of PSY 202 in both fall and spring and whether all sections were likely to fill. b. P. Reitter will ask Mary Buser if she would agree to this change. c. P. Fitzer also pointed out that EDU 300 is not on the slate and is a requirement of the UWO Early Childhood Education Degree. The committee will hold approval of the slate pending receipt of additional information. XI. SOC/ANT/AIS a.
