1. SRM TRAINING REMINDER:
 Anyone still not SRM’d
 During office hours: Tuesday 3-5, Wednesday 12-2, Friday 2-4 *first email

 EVERYONE MUST BE TRAINED BY FOURTH WEEK OF OCT!!!!!
 We need everyone SRM trained for Clothing Sales
2. Halloween haunt
 October 24th buy tickets through CSAHS-SA @ the office
 If you have bus monitor training and are interested in going for FREE let them know
ASAP! (csahsact@uoguelph.ca)
3. Meeting Times will stay the same
4. Voting items will take precedent so make sure Event ideas, proposals and thing that need
to be voted on are in the Agenda by Monday
5. Google doc was created for planning events this semester
 If you don’t have it yet, Ask Kathleen and she will email you the link so you can access it
6. Read the minutes!!!!
7. Psych Soc bonding event
 Grad lounge? Very inexpensive (aka lots of food) and books out for free, we just need to
order a certain amount of food to cover booking.
 OR Team movie night – basically free, could be psych related, could order food?
 Majority voted for grad lounge

 Transcript of last year event on website
Poster run: we will combine with clothing sales
 Both clothing sales and getting into grad school event are SRM approved, so we can
begin advertising
 Needs to be done next week once we have clothing sales booked
2. Thesis Info night:
 third year event
 2nd/3rd week of NOV
 Need to be SRM by October 26/Nov 2 (sooner the better)
 Gloria contacted
 Need to still pick dates and book a room
3. Proposed Event: Conference
 Options: Victoria for CPA, Toronto
 Gillian look at SLEF fund to help subsidize cost
 Get a travel grant for Victoria
 Added to agenda for next week so we will revisit this topic next week in more detail

1. First Year Event: Thursday October 8th Mackinnon Room 230
 Event starts at 6:30, we have the room booked at 6 so we can show up early to do and set
up. Event ends at 8:30, have room until 9 to clean up
 Kathleen: pizzas been ordered, picking up pop tomorrow, give taylor receipt
Advertising:
 If you live in res unofficial advertising – share on fb, talk to friends!

 Ask Me Anything: think of AMA topic for your nametag (I have an extensive list of topics
that I’ll bring tomorrow if you are unsure)
2. Clothing Sales:
 SRM form submitted and approved
 UC available tues-fri, we need to pick 3 days: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday
 We are thinking Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday because Friday the UC is less busy
 Brianne: Make doodle poll so we can sign up for shifts
 Sign up for as many shifts as you can do by next meeting
 We will add primary organizers to SRM form, once we have signed up for shifts
 Cait: take on ordering carbon paper
 Bre will go tomorrow morning to book UC for clothing sales
 Add ‘exec clothing’ to next week’s agenda
3. Event proposals (ACCO and SOCO) please email Kathleen ideas! By Monday

 $100 proposed = $25 for poster run (sharing with grad event) and money for paint for
aggie board

Orientation Week:
 Spend more money for better impression for first years

 lots of carnivals, amazing races (next year try something more unique?)

First year event:
 agree with not doing icebreakers
 Bring up future events

Clothing sales:
 sweatpants with pockets
 mittens
 buttons  we would need to do button rental soon to have them available
for clothing sales

 feedback: heard but didn’t go because short time, didn’t hear only saw

 Improve: advertise through social media, on sign at table put only here for
these days, advertise pictures of fun designs
How to get into grad school event:
 Suggestions:
 Include jobs you can get with grad school and without
 Resources – coop and career services
 List of faculty advisor for each program
 Feedback: overwhelmed last year because all the profs  think one prof will
be less overwhelming
 Suggested snacks for this event, but with SRM already approved, we could do
snacks for thesis night?
