Introduction
If you become an eligible participant with National Disability Insurance Scheme, you will be able to
access your National Disability Insurance Scheme account through the National Disability
Insurance Scheme Participant Portal. This guide explains how to log into the National Disability
Insurance Scheme Participant Portal.
Before you can log into the Participant Portal, you need to:

Have created a myGov account

be linked to National Disability Insurance Scheme

been issued an NDIS/Person number and Activation Code from the NDIA, these will
be issued once your plan has been approved (these numbers are needed for the initial
logon only)
Supported browsers for myGOV website and the Participant Portal website are:

Internet Explorer version 9 +

Mozilla Firefox version 24+

Google Chrome version 24+

Safari version 5+

Portal.
How to log into the Participant Portal
There are two ways you can access the Participant Portal:

through the National Disability Insurance Scheme website www.ndis.gov.au, or

through the myGov website www.my.gov.au

To log into the Participant Portal via the National Disability
Insurance Scheme website:
1.
Open your internet browser.
2.
Type www.ndis.gov.au in the address bar and press Enter:

Click the Participants link.

Click the Participant portal link.
The myGov log in screen opens:
5. Type your myGov username/Australia.gov.au ID and Password, then click the Sign in button.

The Please answer your Secret Question page opens:
6. Type the answer to your secret question then click Next.
If this is the first time you have logged into the Participant Portal the Proof Of Record of
Ownership (PORO) screen will display:
Enter your NDIS number and your Activation code (these will have been provided to you by the
NDIA when you plan was approved) and click Continue.

For all subsequent logons the National Disability Insurance Scheme Participant Portal
welcome page will open
You are now logged on to the Participant Portal.
To log into the Participant Portal via the myGov website:
1. Open your internet browser.
2. Type www.my.gov.au in the address bar and press Enter.
The myGov home page opens.
If you need assistance with logging into MyGOV please call the MyGOV helpline
132 307 and select option 1 (Operating Hours 7am – 10pm Monday to Friday and 10am
– 5pm Saturdays and Sundays AEST – Australian Eastern Standard Time). Or you can
go to their website help section www.my.gov.au

Your myGov homepage opens with the National Disability Insurance Scheme logo in your My
Linked Services field.
