Trouble Shooting Guide Universal Jobmatch <Trouble Shooting Guide> Section 1 Problems Logging In with your password and user ID 1. You have three attempts to login to universal Jobmatch, the first two you will receive a message similar to the one below, make sure the clients twelve digit user ID is correct most of the time it’s a problem with the password Tip: Sometimes the first letter can be a capital 2. On your third attempt, if your password is not right, you will be asked to contact the help desk 2|Page Digital Skills Academy 2013 <Trouble Shooting Guide> 3. Now the Universal Jobmatch account is locked and using the forgotten your password option will not work 4. You will have to wait twenty four hours or wait until the following week when you client returns to the class to use the forgotten your password link to get a new password. 5. The new password can be quite complicated, you can set them up with a new one by following the link when you first log in with the new password. 6. If the User ID has been lost or forgotten you will need the password and email address to access their account again. 7. Another problem when trying to log into Universal Jobmatch, the page can take too long to try to sign in and just hang there, and even comes back with application errors when trying to login. 8. Solution for this problem or if you just notice the website is not working very well is to 3|Page Clear the Browser Cache Delete Cookies Finally shut all your web browsers open windows down then open up your browser and then login again Digital Skills Academy 2013 <Trouble Shooting Guide> Section 2 Problems Setting Up Universal Jobmatch 1. First of all, read the guide to setting up Universal Jobmatch before reading this section. 2. When setting up Universal Jobmatch you will have to confirm the clients details, a problem that can occur when setting up the account, is if the profile page times out or loses a connection with Universal Jobmatch Servers the profile will not work. Fill out this page as quickly as possible especially on a wireless network. 4|Page Digital Skills Academy 2013 <Trouble Shooting Guide> 3. If the Page times out when logging in, Universal Jobmatch will take you back to the profile and try to get you to set up your profile again. The Problem with this is you confirmed the email address from Universal Jobmatch with the conformation email they sent you. Universal Jobmatch will not work with the current email address you want to use with the account 4. The solution is to add in a different email address to the profile if the client has more than one. Or to Use Forgot user ID and password - explained in great detail in section 4 of this document. 5|Page Digital Skills Academy 2013 <Trouble Shooting Guide> Section 3 Problems Setting Up With An Email Account Registered Before 1. If a client has totally forgotten his or her Account login details and you try to set up an account with the same email address it will not work. 2. After filling out the registration page you will get this error. 6|Page Digital Skills Academy 2013 <Trouble Shooting Guide> 3. Clicking on the link transfer, Universal Jobmatch will send you an email, you will then be directed back to the complete your profile page again. 4. If you enter the same email address again that has been used before on this page you will get this error message. 7|Page Digital Skills Academy 2013 <Trouble Shooting Guide> 5. Once again all you can do is enter a new email address that has never been used with Universal Jobmatch, or start all over again and use the - Forgotten user ID and password (Explained in detail Section 4 of this document). 8|Page Digital Skills Academy 2013 <Trouble Shooting Guide> Section 4 Client Has Forgotten Username And Password. 1. If A client cannot remember their User ID of Password, or if you found out they have had one set up before, you are best to use the forgotten your login details link. 2. Click on Cancel. 3. Now enter in the clients email address 6. You will have now been sent an email. 10 | P a g e Digital Skills Academy 2013 <Trouble Shooting Guide> 7. Click on the Link to “Regain access to the account” 8. You can now register with the same email address to setup Universal Jobmatch again for the client. Refer to our Guide Setting up Universal Jobmatch, use the same steps as setting it up for the first time, but crucially you don’t have to set up a new email for your client. Now you will be given a new number just like setting it up for the first time again. Remember to verify the account by clicking on a link. Summary Universal Jomatch logs you out on your third attempt password recovery will not work while account is in lock down. Clear Browsing, Cookies and Data if experiencing any problems with the website, Most important thing to remember when setting up an account and you discover their email address already registered with Universal Jobmatch “Transfer” will not work.
