Concerns & Assumptions
6
What are our assumptions about family involvement?
• When families are involved in student decision making, student
development is hampered.
• All millennial students are under prepared for their future
because their parents do everything for them.
• When families are involved, student affairs administrators are
unable to truly work with the student.
• Family involvement prohibits students from making their own
decisions about a major, career, and other issues they may
confront.
