bowling, racquetball, ultimate Frisbee, bass fishing, ice skating, soccer, equestrian, men’s golf,
wrestling, archery and hockey. If your favorite sport isn’t listed you can contact Joe Conroy at
330-941-3731 to start your own club sport team!
Y S U Intramurals are a very popular, non-varsity sports opportunity with leagues and one-day
tournaments to fulfills the needs of the competitive or “just want to have fun” student. We offer a
wide variety of sports from flag football to bubble soccer to volleyball. Visit

Call for Who’s Who Nominations!
Do you know a student or peer that is involved on campus, excels in the classroom and gives
back to the community? Please consider nominating them for Who’s Who Among Students in
American Universities & Colleges. Founded in 1934, this national program honors outstanding
campus leaders annually for their scholastic and community achievements.
Y S U has been allotted 150 places in this year’s directory. Nominees must be of junior status, or
better, with a minimum 3.00 cumulative grade point average in order to qualify for the award.
Graduate students are also eligible. We ask that all supporting community service participation,
awards, and academic information be submitted along with the application by February 12.

as we kick off the spring semester! Our leadership retreat provides a unique opportunity for

All student organizations wishing to remain affiliated with the University for the 2016-2017
academic year will need to re-register during the month of May. Re-registration must be
completed on-line through the Y S U Portal.
On April 25th all student groups will be deactivated, and in order to be reactivated the following
process must be taken. Your group privileges will continue until the end of the semester, but will
expire if re-registration does not occur.

ENTER OUR PHOTO CONTEST!
Submit photos of you and your friends doing any of The Y S U Bucket List’s “52 Things to
Do While You’re a Penguin!” You could win prizes, see your photos in the Fall Semester
Student Experience Calendar and on social media, and even in the hallways of Kilcawley Center!
The contest runs January 12 through April 15, 2016. Enter as often as you like! Two prizes will
be awarded. Best Photo and Most Photos Selected for inclusion in the Fall Student Experience
Calendar. Each of the two prize winners will receive a $25 gift certificate to the Y S U
Bookstore and a framed print of your photo! Contest entries are due 5:00pm, Friday, April 15.
To enter, email your photos to klleeper@ysu.edu along with your name, Y S U Banner number
(required for prize distribution), daytime phone number and Y S U email address. Note which
item you are checking off your list in the photos. Shoot and submit photos at the highest
resolution possible. This will increase the chances of us publishing your work! Entry of photos in
the contest implies consent for the Division of Student Experience to use them in the upcoming
Fall Semester Student Experience Calendar and/or to reproduce them for social media and/or the
