YEAR OF FAITH –
FOR INDIDVIDUALS
Read the Documents of Vatican II. The Second Vatican
Council (1962-65) ushered in a great renewal of the
Church. It impacted upon how the Mass is celebrated,
upon the role of the laity in the life of the Church, how the
Church understands itself, and how it should relate to
other Christians, other religious faiths, and to nonbelievers. To continue this renewal – which has only
begun – Catholics must understand better what the
Council taught and how it enriches the lives of believers.
