Words you need to know…

Credit ---Official certification that a student has completed a course. At BGHS, we have whole (1) credit courses and half

(1/2) credit courses.

 Semester ---One of the two divisions of an academic year.

1 st semester--the start of school to winter break (August – December).

2 nd semester--after winter break until the end of the year (January – May)

 A temporary GPA is figured at the end of each year and a final one is done during the senior year.

Kentucky Educational Excellence

Scholarship (KEES)

Awarded to graduating seniors who will attend a Kentucky College, university or technical school. The amount received will be based on each year’s GPA and a one time bonus for the ACT score.
