Interactive Instruction: Remind students about
their Project 1, part a due on Friday. Students
will work in groups to complete tasks for each of
four assignments: 1) Add and subtract practicing
aligning the numbers to keep up with the
decimal. 2) Multiply numbers using grid paper to
keep numbers lined up. 3) Practice long division
with grid paper to assure alignment. 4) Flash
cards on multiplication. Assign 8 problems for
homework.
Closure: Exit slip—find the error.
Independent Work: Mad Minute-multiply review.

homework. Play numbered heads as students
take turns coming to the board to explain their
solutions to subtraction, multiplication, and

functions and identify them.

Learning Target: I will be able to identify the
zeros of various functions and use synthetic
substitution to solve for values of the function.
Interactive Instruction: Review the BW. Check
the homework. Teach students to use synthetic
substitution to find the value of a certain value.

22-28, 40-43. Students should discuss and be
ready to defend their answers. Pass back graded
papers. Discuss biconditional statements and
review the perpendicular definition. Assign P82:
13-23, 32-34.
Closure: Discuss biconditional statements with
your table partner.

Learning Target: I will be able to use symbolic
representation of the logical statements.
Interactive Instruction: Students will work with a
partner to complete the logic puzzle on page 86.
Students should create their own grid. Use the
Alabama example to explain the laws of logic to
true statements. Work through 5 examples with
students. Assign P91: 8-13, 30-1, and 36-42.

Interactive Instruction: Use a double entry
organizer for students to make notes about the
algebraic properties and their definitions on page
96 and 98. Students apply the rules to their

allow students to check their assignment.

Friday and have students ask questions.
Explain how to use cube roots and review their
simplification. Finish the handout from last
week for homework.
Closure: Discuss a Friday test over exponents
and radicals.

rationalize radical expressions.
Interactive Instruction: Reviews the BW. Review
the homework. Students will work in groups to
play Numbered Heads. Selected students will
