JOURNAL #5: Narration in Boondocks
In THE BEDFORD READER, read the Boondocks comic strip (72-73) and
answer the following questions:
1. What happens in the narrative?
2. What does each panel of the sequence tell us about the characters
or otherwise contribute to the narrative?
3. What is the point of the narrative?

In THE BEDFORD READER, read page 127, analyze the photograph and
answer the following questions:
1. What do you see through her eyes?
2. What is the house made of?
3. What do the overhanging structure on the upper left and the
bridge behind the house add to the impression of the house?
4. If you were standing in the picture, what you hear or smell?
5. IF you touched the house, what textures might you feel?
6. What main idea do you think Morton wants this photograph to
convey?
