 NextGen Partnership
 LPV surveys are the beginning
 20 airports, 24 runways
 FAA is encouraging sponsors fund projects to get
from LPV survey to published approaches
 List of twenty items an airport will need to do
 May be a project booster as are RSAT projects

 FY 2012 - $4.6m
 STB action will increase to $7.9m
 JPA’s are changed to require 10% share up front
 Bids are on the street for first phase
 Design is in progress on second phase
 The cycle has been established to keep design
ongoing during all construction

• Land Use Study, 2013
– Early stages of Scope development
– Looking to generate something more useful, like formal
inclusion of airport protection needs in local General
Plan
– Guidelines are included of course
• State Airports System Plan Update, 2014
– Revisit standards of inclusion of airports into the state
System, currently 83
– Look at FAA new ASSET Roles definitions
– Examine changes from the 2003 survey
– New issues or topics? Let us know
