How the Goole cluster works:
The funding has enabled the cluster of schools to hire
2 primary specialist teachers.
Mr Butterworth
Mr Butterworth supports Goole Academy in sports leadership awards for students and
the teaching staff at Airmyn Park, Boothferry, Hook CE, Marshlands and St Josephs
primary schools by working through schemes of work with class teachers present.
Mr Butterworth takes the lead on healthy and active lifestyles for the cluster by
organising clubs and supporting schools.
Mr Douglass
Mr Douglass supports Goole Academy in sports leadership awards for students and the
teaching staff at Kingsway, Parkside, Reedness and Swinefleet primary schools by working
through schemes of work with class teachers present.
Mr Douglass takes the lead when organising school sports events for the cluster to
compete in.

Sports Leaders
Both of our specialist PE teachers work in the high school
with students to offer them an opportunity to achieve their
Level 1 and/or 2 in Sports Leadership. These students gain
experience by leading at primary school sports events,
festivals or after-school clubs.
Sports Competitions include:

High 5 Netball (small & large schools)
