Submission Guidelines

1.

Abstracts are to be submitted in English

2.

Each abstract must include the following format:

Title:

Background:

Methods:

Results :

Discussion &

Conclusions :

Title should highlight the primary content of the abstract

Provide a brief description of the objective/hypothesis of the study/project

Details of the experimental method/s and processed employed in the study

Summary of the precise findings of the study.

Promises of results ‘to be determined’ are not acceptable.

Describe logically sound conclusions and reliable inference from the results

3.

Abstract body (includes Background & Hypothesis, Methods, Results and Discussion &

Conclusion) should NOT exceed 250 words

4.

No tables/figures/images are to be included as part of the abstract.

5.

Choose a ‘Clinical Specialty’ that best fit your abstract.

6.

Choose an ‘Abstract Category’ that best fit your abstract.

The ‘Abstract Category ‘is the general heading under which best entails the subject nature of the abstract.

It determines which Award Category the abstract qualifies for in the Competition.

7.

Select 2 ‘Award Category’ according to your preference.

The system will auto filter the award categories you will be eligible for.

If applicable, select a second choice for the Award Category.

To increase your chances, select a different Award Category as your 2 nd choice.

The Congress Organiser reserve the right to determine the final Award Category that best suits the abstract.

Word Limit: 250 words

A) Background & Hypothesis

- Provide a context or background for the study.

- State the specific purpose or research objective of, or hypothesis tested by the study/ project.

Briefly outline the experimental methods/tools used in the study/project.

Do not include figures, graphs, tables or references in the abstract.

Système international d ’unitès (SI unites) should be used for measurements.

Abbreviate standard measurements (mm, kcal etc.) as recommended by the style manual for biological sciences.

No abbreviation for medical terms, spell out in full - Superior vena cava, Wolff-Parkinson-White etc.

Do not begin sentences with numerals; spell out numbers in alphabetical.
